Good to know
Requests vs AI credits?
Data endpoints (search, barcode, nutrients…) count against your plan's daily request quota; on the Free plan, nutrient breakdowns are additionally limited to 25 per day. AI endpoints (photo recognition, analysis, translation, corrections) draw from a separate monthly credit allowance — every plan can use every AI endpoint, and each call has a fixed credit price, listed above.
What happens when I hit a limit?
Data requests answer 429 until the quota resets at midnight UTC. AI calls answer 402 once your monthly credits and any top-up credits are used up — you're never billed for going over. Need more mid-month? Buy a credit pack (it applies instantly) or upgrade.
How do credit packs work?
Packs are one-time purchases on any plan, Free included: 250 credits for $10, 1,000 for $35 or 3,000 for $90. Top-up credits are spent only after your monthly allowance, stay valid for 12 months from your most recent top-up, and survive plan changes. Unused top-up credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes — upgrades apply immediately, downgrades at the end of the billing period, and you can cancel whenever. The Free plan needs no card at all.
